In short: Final Fantasy XVI will blow the cum out your balls.
In long: The world is expansive with an emotionally heavy story pushing it forward. The world changes greatly as you progress going from normal everyday life, to your entire world being turned upside down, to apocalyptic forces shaking dimensions. Sounds like every JRPG? Good, That's what it is.
The story is well written if a bit generic, BUT THAT DOESN'T MATTER WHEN ITS PRESENTED SO WELL. The voice acting and dialogue is simply incredible, with the facial animations being made for gun-toting Americans and tea-sipping Brits first. The characters feel very natural and real during gameplay and cutscenes, they will often converse about things during travel, its simple but this small act adds so much oomph.
The combat is what chewing 5Gum wishes it was. It is an excellent, slower than normal character action combat system. You are channeling the power of gods, and you can feel the power divide when fighting mortal enemies. The monster type enemies feel like sparring match between two forces where one side (you) was created in God's image, and the other side (them) needs to be reminded of such facts. But they are stubborn and do not subscribe to the truths of the universe. The boss fights are epic in scale, turning the entire world around you into a playground. Kick over that motherfucker's sand castle, they deserve it, I assure you.
The music is out of this world, not really much else to say, shit slaps.
If you want amazing combat, epic scores blasting, excellent characters, top tier voice acting, you'll find it here.
